Our Founding Story

In the early 1990s, two boater friends realized they shared a common frustration. Like many waterfront property owners, they discovered that traditional wooden docks required constant maintenance, annual setup and dismantling. These docks were also prone to rot, splinters and environmental concerns. Even the so-called “top-of-the-line” floating options at the time proved inadequate, disintegrating after the first storm.

This experience sparked a vision — to develop a dock system that would stand up to nature’s challenges while maximizing time on the water. Even with naysayers constantly stating that their goal was impossible, the two friends pushed on, trying to innovate a flexible, durable, environmentally friendly docking solution that allowed them to enjoy the water on their terms.

The result was EZ Dock, a pioneering solution that has since transformed the industry and delighted countless customers across residential, commercial, industrial and government sectors.
