Employment - Division Marketing Director
PlayPower, Inc. is the world's largest, fully integrated manufacturer of commercial playground equipment, floating dock systems and lifts for boats and personal water craft.  We are currently looking for an individual with a proven track record to lead the marketing efforts for one of our divisions.  Located in Monett, Missouri, we have three companies that comprise this division.  Miracle Recreation is the oldest and largest play equipment manufacturer in the United States.  EZ Dock offers a full line of rotationally molded floating docks and drive-on lifts for boats and personal watercrafts.  Aqua Recreation offers a full line of water slides and pool slides.


Reporting to the Division President, this position is responsible for developing and executing the domestic and international marketing strategies for the division. This position will set the global brand, position and growth strategies in conjunction with the Global Sales Managers and Division President to increase the relevance of the brands and maximize sales volume, both domestically and internationally.  The Director will also manage customer satisfaction, pricing (jointly with sales), CRM resources, website, new product development recommendations and have responsibility for the creation and coordination of all sales and brand promotions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development and management of the Marketing Department budgets for MREC, EZ-Dock, Inc., and Aqua Rec.
  • Develops and executes marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share for “brands” domestically and internationally
  • Manages marketing/trade show budgets for “brands” domestically and internationally
  • Plans and oversees execution of promotional activities including print, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, point-of-purchase displays, and signage for “brands.”
  • Co-ordinates advertising projects using outside advertising agencies on ongoing campaigns with corporate, domestically and internationally
  • Manages development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs both domestically and internationally
  • Analyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
  • Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities/products required to continue our sales volume and market share growth history both domestically and internationally.
  • Reviews analysis of “brands” marketing surveys on current and new product concepts in order to recommend future product development.
  • Provides post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on “brands” marketing programs.
  • Helps establish and maintain consistent corporate image throughout product lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Measure customer satisfaction with “brands” domestically and internationally
  • Support MREC´s, EZ-Dock´s, and Aqua Rec´s distributors and dealers with all marketing related issues / needs
  • Attend MREC EZ-Dock, and Aqua Rec sales and distributor advisory meetings to ensure proper support levels.
  • Build business relationships with all distributors



Education and/or Experience

Four year university bachelor´s degree in marketing required, MBA preferred, with at least 7 years of direct brand management.  Experience in business to business and business to government marketing strategy and execution is required.  Previous experience in the marine, commercial recreation or children´s product industries is preferred.
